Chrome Auto Appraisers

Auto Appraisers

Auto appraisal and car appraisal services for estate settlement, probate, charitable donation, and estate and gift tax, prepared in accordance with USPAP. Chrome Auto Appraisers appraises cars, classic and collector cars, pickups, commercial trucks, trailers, RVs, and motorcycles nationwide.

Chrome Auto Appraisers values each vehicle as of the right date for probate, a Form 8283 donation, or a Form 706 or 709 tax return

Chrome Auto Appraisers provides auto appraisal services built around estate and IRS work. Our appraisers value the cars, trucks, trailers, RVs, and motorcycles that estates hold and that owners donate or give, and every report is prepared in accordance with USPAP.

Each value rests on documented support: the vehicle's identifying details, ownership and service records, its condition, and sales of comparable vehicles. That is what lets a report stand up in a probate file, on a tax return, or in a donation record.

Our auto appraisals cover everyday cars, classic and collector cars, pickups and semi trucks, horse and cargo trailers, motorhomes, and motorcycles

Our appraisers value each of these vehicle categories, and most link to a dedicated page:

The Appraisal Foundation

Publisher of USPAP, the standard every report follows

An estate or IRS vehicle appraisal is a written USPAP report, quoted from the VIN, condition, and photos, for a fixed fee set before work begins

What does a vehicle appraisal for estate or IRS use include?

It includes a written USPAP-compliant report that identifies the vehicle, states its condition as documented, names the purpose and valuation date, and concludes a fair market value supported by comparable sales. The report is prepared to meet the reporting requirements of the purpose you name, such as probate, Form 8283, Form 706, or Form 709.

What information do you need to give me a quote?

We need the year, make, model, and VIN, the vehicle's condition and mileage, any modifications or restoration work, clear photos, and the purpose of the appraisal. If you have a deadline, tell us the date so we can confirm it up front.

How is the appraisal fee set?

The fee is a fixed fee quoted before work begins, never hourly. It reflects the scope of the assignment: the number and type of vehicles, how specialized or modified they are, the quality of the records, and the intended use. It does not depend on what the vehicle is worth.
